I must say that I didn't even know TCL as a brand.
The time came when I had to buy a new 50-inch TV (for my bedroom, since the previous one I had there, a Philips no less, decided after 7 years to stop showing us a picture). As I do with every purchase for years now, I started searching on Skroutz, but this time, I was looking for a TV that would meet my needs and not be too expensive.

From the very first moments, I realized that a new strong "player" has entered the TV technology market, TCL, which already has many available models to cover every potential customer's needs.
I also saw that there were many comments for many of its models, not all positive but generally respectable.
I decided to take a risk this time and get a TCL.

This is just a prologue so far, indicative to show that I could be considered more negative than positive towards TCL.
But the experience and contact with the product completely changed my opinion.

I must say that I already consider it one of the most honest products in every respect, and I will explain...
* Packaging: Good, practical, and attentive to several details.
* Printed instructions: Okay, basic but sufficient.
* Appearance: It has nothing to envy from much more expensive models.
* Build quality: Although quite light and with no metal parts externally, it is sturdy and solid.
* Operating system: As modern as it gets, since we are talking about Google TV, with official Google updates, with so many available apps for installation (which keep increasing), with various smart features especially for those who know how to explore, and with other modern technologies like Smart Home, etc., with Bluetooth which is very convenient either for Bluetooth headphones (which, especially for the bedroom, are absolutely necessary) or for connecting with other devices like mobiles, etc., and so many other goodies, all with immediate response in use, no delay.
* Picture: Impressively good! Detail, brightness, color rendering, motion, all at a very good level, well above average.
* Viewing angles: Despite all the negative things I've read about this issue from other comments here, personally I think they are more than satisfactory, unless we're talking about very extreme angles, but very few and much more expensive models perform better there. For example, I have it (with a wall mount) quite high, with some tilt downwards, and I haven't felt like I'm missing any vibrancy in its picture.
* Remote control: Compact, beautiful, light, sturdy, quite minimal but with everything you need at first request for using such a TV, with dedicated buttons for specific apps (those commonly used on this TV),
* TV Tuner: Fast and with the necessary sensitivity to the incoming TV signal, resulting in picking up whatever is broadcast in the area.
* Sound: Really very good for a 50-inch TV! With great clarity, pleasant depth, noticeable bass, without getting muddled at higher volume, and with the ability for particularly high volume, especially for music.

The only things I would like to be a bit more "convenient" are the following:
1. The way it provides for arranging the order of TV (and radio) channels, when someone wants to set up the channel order. It works just fine and you get used to it easily, but:
1a. Personally, I would have preferred a different technique since it uses the method of swapping the position between two selected channels each time. As a result, it takes more steps to achieve the desired order for all channels (at least for the number of channels available in Athens). I would have preferred if you could simply move the selected channel to another position in the list.
1b. The possible change in channel numbering, I think, is done in a somewhat "verbose" way, thus requiring more work. However, it is provided and easy to learn, so OK.
2. The volume control from the remote (the volume adjustment from the up-down buttons) changes somewhat "abruptly" at the low volume scale, which, in some cases, may require more attempts to achieve exactly the desired volume, and especially if someone is sleeping next to you, they might get disturbed.
3. The remote is missing the control buttons for video streaming (such as play, pause, stop, ff, fb, etc.), and it would be convenient if these were present, especially in some apps (like the Vodafone TV app, etc., which does not provide such virtual buttons on its app screen).

And to conclude...
Of course, I recommend it for purchase even with "eyes closed"!!!
Naturally... as with everything I buy, I can't guarantee anyone (not even myself) what it will do over time as a product, but this has long applied to much more "established" brands and much more expensive models.
So, especially for the cost of this particular TV, it simply doesn't even require a second thought.

From the beginning, I was impressed by its low weight and the remote control made of poor quality plastic. When it operated for the first time, its software had a problem. Overall, the TV was slow. Three times the picture broke and showed severe distortions, lines. The picture would return only when the TV was unplugged and then plugged back in. The factory reset had no effect. Its picture quality is mediocre. The return was approved for inspection as defective, and I am waiting for the result. Eventually, the return was accepted, and the refund was processed. The service was excellent!

As for the picture, I have no complaints.
I have faced several problems when using apps, suddenly it throws you out or the TV shuts down.
Lately, it made the red button disappear from the channels.
After restarting, factory reset, turning HbbTV off and on, it was not fixed.
And as I see, customer service is very difficult.

    The positives:
Image Quality (Supports Dolby Vision and HDR10/+)
    Range of Settings
    Sound (Dolby DTS/Atmos)
    Price

    The Negatives:
    OS
Build Quality (Generally, ok for the cost)
Stand (Whether it's the 32-inch model, the 43-inch, or the 65-inch, TCL uses almost the same plastic legs - they just change a bit in size)

43 inches is of course too small for a main TV, but as a second or third TV, this one is very good.

Very good blacks, intense and vibrant colors, nice motion and scene transitions, I have the impression that it automatically switches to 144hz where supported. It was also written on the box. For €335 which I found it with free shipping, I think it was a very good purchase. As long as it doesn't develop problems in the future, of course.

I bought it in November 2024, and in general and for everyday use it is good. But it has a problem: quite a few times when I turn it on, some lines appear on the screen as I showed in the photo, and it is visible. To fix it, I have to turn it off, unplug it from the power for 5 to 10 minutes, and then it works normally again

For the money it costs, I am satisfied.
Sometimes, when you press to go to the main menu, it takes a while to load the icons, and sometimes the bass scared me because the whole thing seemed to rattle. But it does everything I want, like sending videos from my phone from the internet, downloading a browser to view the pages of the channels where I want to watch series. I don't have many demands in general because my budget is limited too.

For its price (360 euros), very good. I agree with many who describe this particular Android menu as, if nothing else, strange. I do not agree about the viewing angles, which I consider very satisfactory, as long as you watch from more than 2 meters away and even if you are a bit to the side from the edge of the TV. I had a problem with reflections when I had the setup window, TV next to it, and desk next to it from where I watched TV, which was solved by moving the desk between the window and the TV.

The TV for its price, around 350 for 55 inches, is very good. The sound is really powerful and clear. The picture certainly cannot be compared to models over 1000 euros, but up to that point it is equivalent. For 4K movies and everyday use, it is very good. In 4K fast scenes, it may stutter a bit but not to an annoying degree and only in specific fast scenes. Android with menu speeds like having a Chromecast, which I have on another TV and compare. Overall, very satisfied, for this money you get an excellent combination of picture and sound. It is mounted on the wall. In a very bright living room, there is reflection but not to the point of being a negative aspect of the product; with low room brightness, it excels. From side angles, it distorts, but if mounted on the wall and there is a space of 3-4 meters, it covers adequately.

I haven't had it for long (1 month). It is a simple TV, its colors are average to good, strong speakers. Sometimes it loses the setting, meaning I have set it to turn on to TV and it goes somewhere else, e.g. to NETFLIX. A very basic issue is the remote control, which has the buttons very close to each other and you can't press them easily, e.g. volume and channel change.

STAY AWAY FROM TCL, for the past 4 months I've been having a problem (horizontal lines). Their technician came and told me that they would have to take it to the service to see the problem (which means for at least a month I won't have a TV) and from what I understood they repair it - they don't replace it. He also did some resets etc. but nothing...

In essence, I threw away 384 euros.
Product with a rating of ten, 0 and after sales with a rating of 10, -8

Very good image quality for its price. The Android TV interface is somewhat slow, but within normal limits for TVs with these features. Strong and quite clear sound.

On the downside, out of the box with the standard settings, the image is almost unacceptable. It takes quite a bit of time to adjust to individual preferences and depending on the space it is in. It has options and you can customize it, resulting in an image that looks like a higher-end model, but it requires work and experimentation.

Super light and with a lot of features. 4K and HDR (native). I don't know, however, if the software gets updates. The remote control is very good and supports voice commands. Minus one star for the ONE and ONLY button (not even a joystick) that the screen has for its control, which manages the power, volume, and channel changes. I will return in the future to see if it gets updates.

I bought it from Skroutz and in 3 days the panel had colorful horizontal lines (error). I sent it back. It has 32GB storage and 2GB RAM. Its image in FHD and 4K streaming source is very good. Excellent black (VA panel) but viewing angles on the side, faded colors and they bleed, I didn't like it. 2-3 times in the 'Home' menu it froze for 9 seconds. Skroutz reacted quickly and in 2 days they refunded me in full.

The TV has a very good picture for its price. The menu, for anyone familiar with technology, will not be difficult.
The only negative is that it showed some lines on the 5th day, something that is also mentioned in another review here, in my case not as intense, which disappeared after unplugging it. Like a restart... I called the service, a technician came in 4 days and told me it was a software issue. If the panel had a problem, it would do it constantly. He was willing to take it and keep it for a week to check it, but since it has a 2-year warranty, if there is an issue, it will show up immediately. I will come back to update.

UPDATE: After an update in May, the problem with the lines on the screen stopped
