The calculation of sunrise and sunset times uses information about the geographical coordinates of the clock's installation location, the current date, and the displacement from global time.
The system calculates the end of civil twilight, that is, the phase in which the center of the solar disk is 6 degrees below the horizon. The system additionally has a programmable night break function and the ability to shift the calculated sunrise/sunset times in the range of ±120 minutes.
The design of the housing allows the system to be mounted on a TH 35 rail and the device to be optionally sealed.
