The PolarPro Helix VND 6/9 Filter McKinnon Edition was designed for the Helix magnetic filter system and provides exposure reduction from 6 to 9 stops. It darkens the entire image area, allowing for a larger aperture or slower shutter speed than usual.

Increasing the neutral density offers better control over available shutter speeds or aperture settings for both photos and videos. Using a slower shutter speed makes it possible to enhance motion blur to convey a sense of movement or to choose the frame rate of a video camera.

The increased density also allows shooting using wider lens apertures, helping to isolate a subject from the background and enhancing the bokeh. The filter provides an increase in density by 6, 7, 8, and 9 stops.

The front ring features a numbered scale of stop values and tactile feedback to feel a click when reaching a number without looking at the ring. The ring has a side grip for secure handling and for quick and precise positioning.

The Helix system provides an absolutely secure connection using a magnetic attachment plus a quarter-turn locking mechanism, making filter installation and removal instantaneous. This advanced locking system ensures that the filters remain locked in place even in the most demanding shooting situations.
