Scotch 1601 is a transparent insulating aerosol based on alkyd resin. After drying, it creates a transparent, strong, flexible, non-cracking, and non-peeling coating with high dielectric strength of -40 kV/mm. It spreads and adheres to almost any surface, including metals, glass, wood, plastics, etc. It prevents short circuits and evaporation phenomena.
It protects against adverse weather conditions, moisture, and salt (in marine conditions). Scotch® 1601 is resistant to ultraviolet radiation, acids, oils, moisture, and water. It allows for soldering through the varnish layer.
