Probably the fastest external drive on the market. Already owning the Asus Rog Strix, I tested the same drive (an Adata XPG SX8200 Pro SSD 1TB Gen3) in both enclosures (since a faster drive would be limited by the external connection anyway). So, I did a copy of 20Gb of mixed files at ~350MB/s to the Rog and 450~560MB/s to the Ugreen. When pasting the same files off the drive, the Rog reached ~720MB/s and the Ugreen 800~840MB/s. For copy/paste of 20Gb of movies, which are more uniform files, I had almost the same results, slightly better for both, while the Ugreen to the main disk touched 980MB/s... During operation, the Ugreen enclosure feels noticeably cooler to the touch since it is also larger, and it has an extra rubber cover on top that protects it from bumps and drops.

I swapped their cables in case one was better, but the results were the same...

A little attention is needed when closing the lid: if you use the double-sided thermal tape, it clashes with a small plastic clip on one corner and doesn't close well. Basically, it will never close properly because the tape will block it and it won't slide in. So you either cut the clip or open it a bit, and then it closes tightly since there's a screw in that area anyway, and everything is fine!

At 45 euros, which is what I paid for it on offer, it's more than worth it!
