The GD-00A2 gas detector is used for continuous monitoring of the presence of explosive gases in the surrounding air and for detecting and alarming when the maximum safe concentration of such gases is exceeded. It is installed in enclosed spaces where there is a risk of gas leakage from installations or appliances provided with it.
It does not require any additional devices, power cables, or batteries for proper operation. It is small in size, enclosed in a casing. For its installation, a socket ~230V/50Hz is sufficient. It uses a technologically advanced semiconductor sensor and an electronic control system, allowing for a high detection rate at a relatively low price for the device.
When the factory-set gas concentration exceeds < 10% LEL*, visual and audible alarm signals are activated. This solution increases the likelihood of protecting the user from the risk of poisoning or gas explosion due to leakage.
Natural gas is a colorless gas with a slight odor and is lighter than air. When combined with oxygen in the air, it creates a flammable and explosive mixture. The greatest danger arises when gas is released from the tank or there is a leak - ignition can occur from appliances located above.
Propane-butane (also known as LPG) in its gaseous state is heavier than air, thus it accumulates first in the lower parts of the rooms. The other threats are very similar.
- Methane Gas: 5.00% LEL*
- Propane Gas: 2.10% LEL*
- Butane Gas: 1.80% LEL*
*LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) - the lower explosion limit of gas
