    Picture and sound are quite good for its price. I expected the direct LED panel to be slightly better (the light zones are quite visible in blacks) but it's okay. I had higher expectations for the Google TV software. Unfortunately, setting it up via mobile was quite problematic and never completed... It would freeze at the point where the Google account was being set up. With the manual process, after I got through, it took about 15 minutes to finish the setup (not talking about an update).... Also, sometimes the software lags quite a bit, e.g. switching from Netflix to YouTube has taken up to 20 seconds.

    Replaced an old LG 43". I have never had a smart TV before. The setup was not difficult at all. Because of Android, the menu was familiar to me. It felt like setting up a large mobile phone but for the more cumbersome reason of the remote control. Fast TV and 0 lag. I don't really like the picture quality. The colors look washed out no matter what settings I tried. I might have gotten used to the picture of the LG, so I will give myself a little time. I will also look for a settings guide on the internet. However, in HDR 10 video that I tried, it was very good. On the terrestrial Greek channels, the picture is not good. The viewing angles are not good. If you try to watch from a little side, it looks blurry. You can easily download apps, but Android TV has limitations on what you can download. I hope I can install my own apps with sideload. Anyway, for its price (I got it for 335 euros), it's good if you don't have high demands.

    Purchased in July 2024 for 55 inches. After six months of operation, it suddenly stopped displaying an image one morning, and only when it turns on does it briefly show colorful horizontal lines and then black... and sound. All this with little to moderate use and with brightness etc. almost at 50%. To return to normal, it now has to be left unplugged for two consecutive days. Also, when the TV's Bluetooth is on, it interferes with the operation of other devices that are not connected to it. Other than that, quite good compatibility, without any significant freezes in the operating system, nice picture but... for only six months. With a purchase price of 300 euros, I didn't expect miracles but at least I hoped it would last 3-4 years. But with only half a year, I probably won't choose TCL again... Fortunately, it had a warranty and is likely heading towards a full replacement...

    1. I have 3 kids... the previous one went down from a shot in the living room.
    2. I let others fund the progress of technology.
    This TV has an amazing balance of high but mature technology without problems for the customer.
    It's very fast, doesn't freeze, has Google TV, 4K, and through the Google account, it finds and adapts to everything, instantly!!

    Picture and sound are quite good for its price. I expected the direct LED panel to be slightly better (the light zones are quite visible in blacks) but it's okay. I had higher expectations for the Google TV software. Unfortunately, setting it up via mobile was quite problematic and never completed... It would freeze at the point where the Google account was being set up. With the manual process, after I got through, it took about 15 minutes to finish the setup (not talking about an update).... Also, sometimes the software lags quite a bit, e.g. switching from Netflix to YouTube has taken up to 20 seconds.

    Replaced an old LG 43". I have never had a smart TV before. The setup was not difficult at all. Because of Android, the menu was familiar to me. It felt like setting up a large mobile phone but for the more cumbersome reason of the remote control. Fast TV and 0 lag. I don't really like the picture quality. The colors look washed out no matter what settings I tried. I might have gotten used to the picture of the LG, so I will give myself a little time. I will also look for a settings guide on the internet. However, in HDR 10 video that I tried, it was very good. On the terrestrial Greek channels, the picture is not good. The viewing angles are not good. If you try to watch from a little side, it looks blurry. You can easily download apps, but Android TV has limitations on what you can download. I hope I can install my own apps with sideload. Anyway, for its price (I got it for 335 euros), it's good if you don't have high demands.

    Purchased in July 2024 for 55 inches. After six months of operation, it suddenly stopped displaying an image one morning, and only when it turns on does it briefly show colorful horizontal lines and then black... and sound. All this with little to moderate use and with brightness etc. almost at 50%. To return to normal, it now has to be left unplugged for two consecutive days. Also, when the TV's Bluetooth is on, it interferes with the operation of other devices that are not connected to it. Other than that, quite good compatibility, without any significant freezes in the operating system, nice picture but... for only six months. With a purchase price of 300 euros, I didn't expect miracles but at least I hoped it would last 3-4 years. But with only half a year, I probably won't choose TCL again... Fortunately, it had a warranty and is likely heading towards a full replacement...

    1. I have 3 kids... the previous one went down from a shot in the living room.
    2. I let others fund the progress of technology.
    This TV has an amazing balance of high but mature technology without problems for the customer.
