As a demanding user and viewer, I believe there is no perfect TV, but based on your needs, you choose, and I am addressing buyers who know what they are buying.
I got the S90D after the QN90C, essentially a flagship Samsung Neo QLED.
Initially, I chose the Neo QLED for the cost and the fear of OLED burn-in, but the Neo QLED is an amazing TV, incredible brightness*, good sound, amazing gaming, very good processor for SD content.
I didn't like it at all:
1. A lot of DSE
2. Saturated angles, inevitable in LED TVs
3. Anyone who buys a Neo QLED with 1800 nits will realize there is no reason—you literally get blinded. You set the brightness to 15 out of 50 and at night it's still tiring.
4. It can't be compared side by side with OLEDs, no matter how much you adjust it, it doesn't look natural.
With the switch to OLED,
I gained picture quality,
better movies,
it never tires you.
I can't say I lose in brightness much because it's QD OLED. If you have the budget, go for the 95, but there's no reason—it's the same picture, same panel, just more premium features and better speakers.
Incredible blacks.
I think I lose in gaming—the Neo QLED was more impressive, even though this one is 144Hz, which you basically only use on PC, which I don't have.
I have a PS5, and the Neo QLED had G-Sync, which doesn't work well with the PS5 for smoothness, but still, I think it's better, while the OLED has FreeSync, which is compatible.
The sound is bad, but I have a soundbar, so there's no reason to even comment on it.
And the only negative I have to say is that to avoid screen noise and flickering, you have to work a lot on the settings if your eyes notice it.
I have to say: OLED with eyes closed, without thinking, for the simple reason that the Neo QLED, and this is very important, is tiring—seriously, you can't watch a movie, your eyes hurt
