The UHF (Ultra High Frequency) transceivers operate in a frequency range that extends from 300 MHz to 3 GHz. UHF frequencies are better at "passing" around solid obstacles such as buildings, walls, and trees compared to VHF frequencies. This makes them ideal for use in urban areas with many buildings, indoors (e.g., offices, hospitals, schools), as well as in wooded areas. UHF transceivers usually have a shorter range in open spaces compared to VHF, but they are more reliable in "complex" environments.
