The Tesseract appeared in our sky six days ago, above the exact magnetic north of the planet. It was the size of a city block. Since then, it has condensed, collapsing in on itself. Now it can fit in the palm of your hand.

The greatest minds of our world must now find a way to contain and control the reactions of this alien artificial object, or else its exponentially increasing destructive power will erase our planet from existence, reshaping space and time according to the extradimensional needs of its creators. Can you and your team work together to seal the Tesseract, or will humanity be just a footnote in the grand scheme of the universe? Time will tell.

The Tesseract is an exciting, cooperative dice game for 1 to 4 players. The central feature of the game is a block of 64 dice, the Tesseract, which sits at the center of the board on an elevated platform. Players will remove cubes to place them in their individual labs, transfer them as needed to others, adjust the values of the cubes, and crucially, isolate cubes in the containment matrix, neutralizing them.

To contain a cube, a player must have in their lab 3 or more cubes of all the same value (a Set) or in sequence (a Run), either all of the same color or with none of the same colors. Fully completing the containment matrix (24 unique cubes in total) will stop the reaction and win the game. But if the Tesseract has its last cube removed before this - or if 7 breaches occur, the game is lost and our world ceases to exist.

The asymmetric characters have abilities that include a passive, 'always active' ability and a unique action available only to that player. Research cards earned during the game help players gain an advantage, as do the even more powerful containment cards, which are unlocked from the matrix.

The Tesseract is a highly challenging cooperative game, with a lot of replay value tied to the number of characters and the various threat platforms governing difficulty. The game scales wonderfully and has a solo mode that is equally engaging. The tension ramps up quickly as the Tesseract sheds cubes at the end of each player's turn, activates them, and can cause breaches, bringing us closer to destruction.
