When choosing the wire, the following parameters must be considered:

• Break resistance: Expressed in kg. For domestic animals, a maximum value of 100 kg is sufficient. For wild animals, stronger wire is recommended.
• Electrical resistance: Expressed in Ω/m. The greater the resistance, the greater the voltage losses. A cable of 0.4 Ω/m is suitable for a fence up to 10,000 m, while a cable of 7 Ω/m can be used only up to 500 m.
