Abstract strategy game where players move disc-shaped pieces on an 8 x 8 diagonal "board". The pieces move only diagonally and only one step at a time. If a player can move one of their pieces to jump over an adjacent piece of their opponent and into an empty space, that player captures the opponent's disc. Jump moves must be made when possible, creating a strategic game where players offer jumps in exchange for setting up the board to jump even more pieces in their turn. A player wins by removing all of the opponent's pieces from the board or blocking the opponent so they have no more moves. This game, also known as Checkers, is part of the Board family. The official board for tournaments and official club matches such as the international WCDF, ACF, and APCA will usually be colored green and cream. The squares of the board should be no less than 5 centimeters and no more than 6.35 centimeters wide.
