The Story of Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta was born in 1932 in the Dominican Republic. At 18, he decided to leave his hometown and went to Spain, where this talented man focused primarily on painting at the San Fernando Academy in Madrid. Gradually, he began designing for top Spanish fashion houses. In 1973, he founded his own brand - Oscar de la Renta Couture, and in 1977 he launched his first fragrance - Oscar.
