The nutmeg aromatic oil is produced through steam distillation from the wood of this plant. It is renowned for its anxiolytic and antidepressant properties, but also possesses other equally valuable properties:

It is helpful in relieving panic attacks, with anxiolytic action. It reduces the stimulation of the central nervous system: lowers heart rate and blood pressure, while it may have mild sedative effects. It can reduce the spasms of smooth muscles and the cardiovascular system. It has a protective effect on dry, injured, and burdened skin. Additionally, it has decongestant action on the epidermis. It promotes a state of euphoria, pleasure, joy, vitality, relaxation, and sensuality.

The nutmeg aromatic oil can be used:

• In hygiene products for skin and scalp (shampoos, shower gels), for decongestion and protection of dry, injured, or burdened skin.
• As a base or supplement in aphrodisiac blends.

Recommended Use: Do not apply to sensitive, inflamed, or damaged skin and to children under 3 years of age. The maximum allowable concentration when applied to the skin is 0.8% (1 drop of essential oil in 7 ml of base oil). As a general rule, always perform a patch test at least 48 hours before use.
