Description

Capabilities

With the GARDENA Master Battery Programmer, watering can be scheduled flexibly and according to the needs of each area. Up to six different and independent watering cycles can be created. The programmer operates on battery power, connects directly to the tap, and is easily operated using only one switch, which is rotated to select the data and pressed to confirm. An easy-to-read graphical LCD screen shows all settings at a glance.

Automatic watering for time-saving

With the GARDENA water controller, you can water your garden reliably and easily even when you are not at home. You save more time for yourself and also have a lush green garden with healthy plants. If automatic watering starts early in the morning or in the afternoon, less water evaporates. This way you save money and have targeted optimal watering.

Easy Operation

The water controller can be easily set with the rotary switch and data selection button. An easy-to-read display shows you all the settings at a glance. The unit is waterproof and can be removed for setting. Thanks to the optional lock, you can prevent accidental changes.

Flexible watering with 6 programs

You can create 6 different watering programs. You can set the start time, duration, and days of watering. Adjust highly flexible programs according to your personal preferences. Plant experts use this feature for pre-watering to prepare the soil for the main watering. This improves water absorption and plant growth.

"Water Now" Function

If you need to start watering immediately, you can activate it without removing the unit from the faucet or changing any settings.

Water-saving function

When you connect the GARDENA soil moisture sensor, the automatic irrigation does not activate if the soil has sufficient moisture. This allows for better water supply and savings.

Reliable programmer that, in combination with the 6-outlet watering distributor (gardena 01197-29), provides reliable solutions for multiple watering cycles. Particularly sensitive to frost and the low temperatures of winter. It must definitely be removed and reinstalled in the spring. It cracks and there is no possibility of repair.

This review is about a variation of the product

Excellent, it was purchased to replace a Gardena c1060 solar which lasted 10 years and probably its solar panel broke down and it no longer charges even with a new battery, which, by the way, is expensive and I shouldn't have bought it. Since they have the same body, I kept the new one as a backup and used only the controller, which fits exactly on the old one and works flawlessly. In their body, there is the hydraulic valve, and I have noticed that usually, the membrane wears out after 5 years, which costs very little and if you're handy, it can be replaced very easily when needed. As for the programmer, you can set six different programs, very easily, and that's the reason I chose it, because that's how I've set up the watering in my garden and I didn't want to change it to three programs like the others have. I'm thinking of adding the moisture sensor for more water savings and the convenience it offers to stop watering when it's not needed, instead of stopping it manually myself. The only disadvantage in my opinion, as another user wrote, is the fact that when you set it to water, for example, every two days, it overlaps a day (depending on which day you set it to start, e.g. Monday, it will water Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun and then water again on Monday) and the setting does not transfer to Tue, Thu, Sat. This particular one is battery operated and if you protect it from the sun it will last for years (the previous one I had needed direct sunlight and its screen indications, after a few years, started to become indistinct because its plastic polymerized). In general, I recommend it if you want a relatively cheap, reliable watering controller with 6 different programs.

Its downside is that you program it to water every two days, for example, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, but then it starts again from Monday. That is, it waters on Sunday and then again on Monday. The previous model watered regularly every other day, meaning in the example I wrote above, it would water on Tuesday after Sunday, and so on
