The electric snail protection system is suitable for protecting raised beds. It operates at 9 V without harming the snails, which only feel an unpleasant prick that makes them move away. It is completely harmless to humans, children, and other pets.

The pulse generator is suitable for electrifying 2-3 beds with a maximum total tape length of 30 meters. If longer tape is needed, it can be purchased in rolls of 10 or 20 meters. The system produces short 9-volt pulses every 2 seconds, and the generator is powered by a 9 V dry cell.

The generator is waterproof, but deliberate splashing of water should be avoided. The socket ensures the connection of the cable with the tape, and the tape is placed between the socket and the plug of the device. The Shepherd electric tape has two parallel metal strips 5-5 mm wide, which cause an electric shock to snails when they touch them.
