Sterile, individually packaged, single-use vaseline gauzes, without active ingredients, for wound dressing.

The vaseline gauze consists of a material that is impregnated with white vaseline (hydrophobic and non-sensitizing). Thanks to its fiber mesh structure, the gauze allows secretions to flow freely while keeping the wound moist and simultaneously preventing it from sticking to the wound. This enables a atraumatic dressing change, meaning reduced pain for the patient.

Composition:

• Viscose
• Polyester
• Vaseline (Vaselinum album according to Ph. Eur.)

Contraindications:

• Risk of adhesions in wounds without exudate formation.
• Should not be used on deep wounds with cracks, wounds with cavity/pocket formation, undermined wounds, fistulas, and abscesses.
• Gauzes should not be placed one on top of another.
• A secondary suction cover is required.
