Using very lightweight materials such as aluminum and carbon fibers, Knirps applies CarboFlex technology, making certain parts of the umbrella made entirely from 100% carbon fibers. This technology offers excellent flexibility and reduces weight.

The Knirps U.900 has been tested in a wind tunnel and can withstand wind speeds of up to 120 km/h, making it suitable for stormy days. The extremely flexible supports allow the canopy to fold without breaking.
