Sterile, individually packaged disposable petrolatum gauzes without active ingredients for wound dressing.

The petrolatum gauze consists of a material impregnated with white petrolatum (hydrophobic and non-sensitizing). Thanks to the fiber mesh structure, the gauze allows secretions to flow freely while keeping the wound moist and preventing it from sticking to the wound. This enables atraumatic dressing changes, which means reduced pain for the patient.

Composition:

• Viscose
• Polyester
• Petrolatum (Vaselinum album according to Ph. Eur.)

Contraindications:

• There is a risk of adhesions in wounds without exudate formation.
• Products should not be used on deep wounds with cracks.
• Wounds with cavity/pocket formation.
• Compromised wounds, fistulas, and abscesses.
• Gauzes should not be placed one on top of the other.
• A secondary absorbent cover is required.
