They bear no resemblance to the old classic Birkenstocks; they have been completely plastified. But that makes them extremely lightweight. A small issue with the anatomical footbed until the foot gets used to it.

I just received these slippers (black) and, as a first impression, I am very satisfied. They are comfortable, they "hug" the foot nicely, and they seem like you can wear them for hours. Of course, their durability remains to be seen. The sizing needs a little attention; I wear 44.5 and bought 44, and they fit me perfectly. Before making the purchase, it would be good to consult the size guide, ideally from their official page.

In the regular fit, you might need a size smaller than your usual size. In any case, anyone can visit the Birkenstock website and find their exact size through a chart that can be printed and measured accurately on their foot.
