    Verified purchase

The motherboard was used in a Mini-ITX build inside the CoolerMaster NR200P V2, with Intel Ultra 7 265, Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 6000MT/s (CL30), Samsung 990 Pro, MSI RTX 5070 Ventus X2 OC, Be Quiet! Pure Loop 3 280mm, and Windows 11 Pro. Despite the demanding setup, the ASRock Z890I Nova worked flawlessly from the very first moment.
The build quality is impressive. The PCB and heatsinks are sturdy, with a built-in fan that effectively cools the VRMs, while the layout is well thought out and greatly helps with cable management — something rare for Mini-ITX. The clearances around the socket allow for easy installation of large AIOs without restrictions.
Currently, options for Z890 + Mini-ITX are very limited. Initially, I had chosen the ASUS Z890 ROG Strix-I, but the tall M.2 housing causes compatibility issues with AIOs in small cases, and its price is considerably higher. In the end, I chose the ASRock and so far, I haven't regretted it at all.
In terms of performance and stability, the motherboard is excellent. With undervolting and proper settings (the BIOS helps, although it requires a bit more tweaking compared to ASUS's more 'user-friendly' BIOS), the system stays cool, without throttling or instability. In Starfield and Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K (with High Performance power mode), the system performs excellently without bottlenecks, with a maximum temperature of ~70°C. The noise mainly comes from the GPU fans, but it's not annoying and is almost covered by the sound of the games. For everyday tasks (browsing, streaming, office) with Balanced mode, the system is snappy and practically silent.
For more novice users, the Z890I Nova — thanks to Intel 200S Boost — can deliver very good performance with minimal BIOS adjustments without excessive temperatures.
Despite its small size, connectivity is complete: WiFi 7, 5GbE LAN, PCIe 5.0 x16, three M.2 (PCIe 5.0/4.0) (two on the back, easily accessible in the NR200P V2), plenty of USB and Thunderbolt 4 for a true daily-driver setup. Everything works perfectly without incompatibilities.
The Pure Loop 3 280mm works excellently with the motherboard. An important detail for assembly: all power and cables must be connected to the motherboard first, and then the AIO should be installed, because space is really limited.
For what it offers — features, quality, stability, and compatibility — its price is absolutely reasonable, especially in a market where Z890 ITX options are few and expensive.
