Welding helmet with automatic darkening filter (ADF) that includes a liquid crystal display, electronic components, solar collectors/batteries, sensors, and UV/IR filter. The filter darkens automatically when the electric arc is created. The liquid crystals allow for the automatic shading of the filter, while their configuration is controlled by electrical signals. Depending on the configuration, the crystals react differently to the intensity of light. The UV/IR filter provides permanent protection, whether the automatic darkening filter is in an open or dark state. The sensors of the filter detect the formation of the electric arc and send a signal to the electronic unit, which activates the liquid crystal display. The front protective lenses protect the ADF filter from welding spatter, while the back lenses protect the ADF filter from dust and other impurities. Both types of protective lenses are consumable and can be replaced as needed.
