Nice book, easy to read, it touches emotion and the human psyche on a primal level.

▫️A few words about the book: "Before the Coffee Gets Cold" is the first book in a Japanese best-seller series that includes 4 stories, all sharing a common element—a café where you can travel through time. However, there are strict rules for someone to succeed, and at the same time, they cannot change the situations that have happened! Oh, and the best part? They must return to the present before their coffee gets cold!
▪️Style/Writing of the book: Kawaguchi's writing is simple and theatrical, as the whole book strongly resembles a play, with scenes alternating in the same fixed setting (the café) and with dialogues that definitely remind one of a theatrical performance. The book keeps you engaged by reading the different stories of people who wish to travel through time, while also making you think and reflect.
▫️Why I loved it: The book makes you reflect and wonder if you yourself would go through the process of returning to the past, even just once.
▪️What I found difficult: Because it is Japanese literature, I found the names a bit hard to remember.
▫️Why you should read it: If you want a book that will make you think and give you emotions along with cozy vibes, then it is truly worth reading!

▫️Λίγα λόγια για το βιβλίο: To "Πριν Κρυώσει ο Καφές" είναι το πρώτο βιβλίο μια ιαπωνικής best-seller σειράς που περιλαμβάνει 4 ιστορίες, με κοινό στοιχείο τους ένα καφέ.. όπου μπορείς να ταξιδέψεις στο χρόνο. Υπάρχουν όμως αυστηροί κανόνες ώστε να τα καταφέρει κάποιος, ενώ παράλληλα δεν μπορούν να αλλάξουν τις καταστάσεις που συνέβησαν! Α και το καλύτερο; πρέπει να επιστρέψουν στο παρόν, πριν κρυώσει ο καφές τους!
▪️Ύφος/Γραφή βιβλίου: Η γραφή του Kawaguchi είναι απλή και θεατρική καθώς όλο το βιβλίο θυμίζει έντονα θεατρικό έργο, με σκηνές που εναλλάσσονται στο ίδιο σταθερό σκηνικό (το καφέ) και με διαλόγους που σίγουρα θυμίζουν θεατρική παράσταση. Το βιβλίο σε κρατάει με το να διαβάζεις τις διαφορετικές ιστορίες των ανθρώπων που επιθυμούν να ταξιδέψουν στο χρόνο, ενώ παράλληλα σε κάνει να σκεφτείς και να προβληματιστείς.
▫️Γιατί το αγάπησα: Το βιβλίο σε προβληματίζει και σε κάνει να σκέφτεσαι και εσύ ο ίδιος αν θα έμπαινες στη διαδικασία να επιστρέψεις στο παρελθόν έστω για μία φορά.
▪️Τι με δυσκόλεψε: Λόγω ότι είναι ιαπωνική λογοτεχνία, βρήκα τα ονόματα λίγο δύσκολα να τα συγκρατήσω.
▫️Γιατί να το διαβάσεις: Αν θέλεις ένα βιβλίο που θα σε προβληματίσει και θα σου δώσει συναισθήματα μαζί με cozy vibes, τότε πραγματικά αξίζει να το διαβάσεις!
It is pleasantly readable, interesting, conveys beautiful messages, but in my opinion, it is not as exciting as it appears in the reviews.
