What are the elements that define the nation and, consequently, the framework upon which the entire political structure of a country can be built? Kyriakos Anastasiades, with the backing of thirty years of daily engagement and dedicated service in the National Health System and at the highest levels of Education, shares thoughts, plans, and goals for the University, education, health, and the entire country.
His expectation is to attract and engage in dialogue with worthy companions, thus contributing to the creation of the critical mass required for the changes, reforms, and development that Greece urgently needs. His belief is that Education and Health, along with Production, Security, and Defense, are the defining reference points of a society, and they should operate smoothly for the country to develop alongside the rest of the world.
He envisions a bright society and calls on the reader to join the collective effort for a new, modern University, a new, modern National Education System, and a new, modern National Health System. He presents new ideas that primarily embrace openness and the adoption of an open-minded and reformist strategy.
He believes that Greeks can become leaders in education and serious contributors to the Knowledge Society, thereby adding academic tourism to the brand Greece alongside traditional tourism and gastronomy. He also speaks to us about the new National Health System, NHS 5.0, which will free us from the pathologies of public health and give meaning to the welfare state, increasing our life expectancy and quality of life.
The motto “to always strive for excellence and to be superior to others” in the amphitheaters of the Medical School of Aristotle University serves as a reminder to future scientists that everything is based on work, continuous education, research, and passion for excellence.
