Despite the conditions, the city is a thriving metropolis where one can attend a glamorous high society celebration and then be robbed in one of the dark alleys of the Prague district.

A thaumaturge bears a gift and a burden at the same time. This parallel also applies to Wiktor Szulski, the central hero of the game, who returns to the troubled streets of Warsaw.

Wiktor's mystical heritage significantly shapes the course of his life in the quest for supernatural entities and their hosts.

For only a thaumaturge can harness these ethereal entities, known to few as greeters, using his mystical abilities to uncover secrets hidden in the human soul and converse with the Darkness.
