    Very good aged rum for its price. Not overly sweet like most aged rums and with a minimal addition of sugar (you should know that in most aged rums they add quite a bit of sugar, only in some the taste is purely the result of aging in the barrel - check the hydrometer tests of fatrumpirate).
    It has a balanced flavor and can be easily enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water, or with a large ice cube, to slow down the melting. I don't think it's worth putting it in a cocktail since a cheaper rum can do the job with the same results.
    It is indeed aged for 8 years as it states on the label that it has been aged *at least* for 8 years, while many others state *up to* for example 12 years, which means they may just have a little bit of 12-year-old rum and the rest is a blend of much younger rums...
