Description

Attapulgite is a rare magnesium-rich, clay-silicate mineral with a large internal surface area and porosity. In our country, it is mined in Grevena by the Greek company GEOHELLAS. Various products from the mineral are produced there, which find applications in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Advantages:

  • Reduction of waterings and better utilization of rainwater.
  • Better utilization of fertilizers and soil nutrients.
  • Strengthening of the root system.
  • Rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, and others.
  • Soil aeration.
  • Durable, does not dissolve or get lost.

Suitable for all crops for Spraying. The application of attapulgite lasts for years and helps as long as it is in the root zone of the crops. It is applied to the soil with a tillage tool if feasible or on the surface during rainy periods with watering. For annual crops, it is applied before sowing or planting, while for perennial crops, it is applied around the crown of the tree.

Indicative recommended dosage:

  • Greenhouses – intensive crops: 150 kg per acre.
  • Outdoor crops: 100 kg per acre.
  • Small trees: 1 – 2 kg per tree.
  • Medium trees: 3 kg per tree.
  • Large trees: 4 - 5 kg per tree.
  • In the planting hole for trees: 400-600 g in 2-3 layers (bottom – middle – top).
  • Dryland vineyards: 150 kg per acre.
  • Irrigated vineyards: 100-120 kg per acre.
  • Aesthetic plants: flowers 100-200 g per plant, shrubs 500 g - 1 kg per plant.
  • Lawn: 15-20 kg per 100 square meters.

The application quantity is determined based on the soil composition and the lack or adequacy of water.
