Description

Description

The K2 Plus Combo from Creality features innovative technology that enhances the printing process. Its frame is made of cast aluminum alloy, providing stability and accuracy in prints, even at high speeds.

With a build volume of 350 x 350 x 350 mm, it is ideal for printing large objects or multiple small ones simultaneously. The K2 Plus achieves printing speeds of up to 600 mm/s with excellent detail.

The K2 Plus uses closed-loop servomotors for the extruder and XYZ axes, ensuring high print quality and fast response. The FOC system ensures reduced heat and the likelihood of clogging.

The all-metal Apus Direct Drive extruder with a trimetal nozzle protects against heat and supports printing temperatures up to 350 °C, offering the ability to process high-performance materials.

The K2 Plus incorporates automatic leveling of the build plate using optical sensors and a tension gauge on the print head for precise adjustment.

It includes a high-performance AC heating system, monitoring and calibration cameras, as well as a 4.3-inch color touchscreen.

The CFS (Colour Filament System) allows printing with 16 colors through automatic loading and unloading of filaments, with spool holders supporting multiple colors.

Key features:

  • Dimensions: 495x515x640mm
  • Weight: 33.5kg
  • Maximum printing temperature: ≤ 350℃
  • Maximum bed temperature: ≤ 120℃
  • Maximum chamber temperature: ≤ 60℃
  • Filament diameter: 1.75mm, nozzle diameter: 0.4mm
  • Interfaces: USB, Ethernet, WiFi
  • Display: 4.3-inch color touchscreen
  • Support for automatic filament recognition with RFID

Sturdy aluminum alloy frame

The durable unibody frame of the K2 Plus is custom-made from cast aluminum alloy and CNC milled. Maximum precision and stable printing behavior are guaranteed even at high speeds.

Large Build Volume

With a build volume of 350 x 350 x 350 mm, the K2 Plus is suitable for printing large-sized objects or multiple smaller objects simultaneously. Your models will be produced in record time with breathtaking detail.

Speed meets precision

Like its predecessors K1 and K1 Max, the K2 Plus is characterized by high printing speed and precision. The 3D printer achieves printing speeds of up to ≤ 600 mm/s with acceleration ≤ 30000 mm/s².

FOC closed-loop motors

Both the extruder and all XYZ axes of the K2 Plus are driven by closed-loop servo motors. With 32768 microsteps per rotation, the motors achieve high torque and excellent responsiveness. FOC control with variable voltages reduces heat buildup and prevents jams caused by overheating.

Apus Metal Extrusion with Trimetal Heat Protection Nozzle

The K2 Plus uses an all-metal Apus Direct Drive extruder with a tri-metal heat break nozzle for precise and smooth extrusion. The nozzle is designed for printing temperatures up to max. 350 °C and also allows for the processing of high-performance materials.

Anti-Tilt Auto-Leveling

Two optical distance sensors for automatic adjustment of the build plate's tilt on the Z-axis and a tension gauge on the print head ensure precise leveling.

Creality CFS

The K2 Plus Combo is equipped with the smart filament management system CFS (Colour Filament System). The multi-material system features 4 slots for spools that support multi-color printing and the simultaneous use of different materials.

If the device is combined with other Colour Filament Systems, a total of 16 colors can be printed with a wide range of color combinations. The system loads and unloads the filaments automatically – there is no need for time-consuming manual filament changes. Additionally, the well-sealed multicolor device with smart temperature and humidity indicators can be used as a filament drying box for the storage and preservation of filaments.

As a user and maker who started with 3D printing back in the days of the first Ender 3, and who has extensively dealt with 3D printers and modding, I would say that the technology of 3D printers, when I first saw the K2 Plus, is like going from a cart to a rocket.

The printer offers all the latest technologies available on the market right now, large dimensions, dimensional accuracy, and speed. The CFS is flawless and offers the ability, beyond multi-color printing, to print with different materials or to continue with spools of the same color without interrupting the print. I would say it is a printer for functional and large prints and not so much for multicolor printing, which is usually limited to PLA. The capabilities of the heated chamber, as well as the ventilated print chamber, make it a tool.

With a few modifications to the output, you can direct the fumes to external ventilation and thus print more 'dangerous' materials without worry.

A tip: don't watch YouTube videos with reviews because those are old and mostly refer to the time when the printer was first released with all the teething problems a product with so many integrated technologies could have. Now there are no problems at all; you just send the print and get the result.

It is definitely a large machine and for a beginner it might be 'intimidating' both in terms of use and service, but after a while you just don't bother, it does everything by itself. Simply value for money!

I don't need to analyze much.
All I do is design or download designs, send them from the computer to the printer via wifi, and once it's done I just take them out and they're perfect.
After spending 200 euros to buy a Creality Ender 3 v2 and another 450 euros on upgrades, and many hours to get it to work, the result was very good but I got tired of babysitting and decided to buy the K2 plus.
The purpose of buying the Ender 3 v2 was to start designing objects and develop my skills in designing and engineering.
Since most of the hours since I started with 3D printing were spent solving problems related to warping, clogging, and all the countless issues that come up, I ended up having a high success rate in the final result, but I had strayed quite a bit from my original goal.
With the K2 plus I found peace and now I only design.
Objects that took 3 hours with the Ender and had an 80% success rate now take 1 hour with the K2 without any problems at all.
After doing some research I found that indeed some people have issues, most likely due to a setup error.
I am absolutely satisfied with the purchase and I believe it is worth every last euro.
    Creality's support is impeccable!

    Negatives
    - It's huge and not easy to move, it needs a sturdy bench otherwise it will sound like a washing machine.
    - It's not noisy but you can't call it silent either, I wouldn't recommend it for a bedroom
    - The CFS is quite loud but it's worth it

    Positives
    - It's incredibly fast
    - It has worked non-stop since I got it, I've never used glue, it has never warped, it has never failed on the first layers
    - I bought the K2 plus combo which includes the printer and the CFS as a combo and I thought maybe I made a mistake because I'm not a fan of multicolor 3D printing, but as soon as I set it up and realized I could choose any filament I wanted without even touching the printer, I bought two more CFS and now I have 12 options ready to print, it supports up to 4 CFS
    - It simply does its job as it should.
    - Excellent support

My opinion is that a 3D printer should be a tool without problems and give you the pleasure of designing and getting the result, and not just be another upgrade project.
