In the great game of destiny, Mimo Vitaliani has drawn the bad cards of the deck. Born poor, afflicted by dwarfism, apprenticed to a malicious and untalented sculptor, he struggles to give outlet to the artistic demon nesting in his hands. All, or almost all, the fairies leaned over Viola Orsini. Daughter of an aristocratic family, she spent her childhood in the shadow of a Genoese palace. But she is too ambitious to accept the role predestined for her. Mimo and Viola should never have met. However, at first glance, they recognize each other as "cosmic twins" and vow never to abandon each other. They can neither live together nor exist apart for long. Bound by an unyielding force of attraction, they traverse tumultuous times, the years when Italy sinks into fascism. Mimo takes his revenge on fate, but what good is glory if he must lose Viola? He has lived many lives. The last one, peaceful and prolonged, he will spend near his masterpiece, the Pietà Vitaliani, to take care of it. What is the secret of this strange Pietà that the Vatican imprisoned in the Sacra di San Michele? "A revelation book, like the Pietà Vitaliani at its core. The Madonna carved by Mimo bears the marks of time in relief, and his Christ the imprints of the nails. [...] A masterful novel, sculpted word by word." Le Monde "Andrea is a true virtuoso experimenting with different genres of fiction and constantly exploring the limits of writing, never resting on his laurels." Livres Hebdo "A great love novel, in which the long tradition of picaresque intertwines with a top-notch revenge story, the likes of which have not been written since the time of Dumas." Le Figaro "In a troubled and uncertain era, where violence and war have become part of everyday life beside us, To Take Care of Her is a breath of fresh air. You will be enchanted by this completely original saga as you realize that the darkness of the era of the rise of fascism cannot extinguish the light emitted by these two unforgettable heroes." Le Parisien
