Mastervolt Combination Output Interface (COI) with connections

The Combination Output Interface (COI) combines multiple input and output devices into a single module, providing a compact and intelligent replacement for traditional fuse boxes and DC switches with digital switching technology.

Mastervolt is a pioneer in digital switching technology, utilizing proven CANbus technology where a single data cable operates groups of switches. In larger applications, there can be an average of five separate Output Interfaces, each controlling dozens of local devices along with peripherals such as timers and dimmers. However, the Combination Output Interface uses only one compact 30-channel unit to provide all necessary outputs.

Easy installation

The COI essentially is an integrated CZone® system in a compact, durable enclosure, making it an economical solution where space and budget are limited. By using fewer connection points combined with 'plug & play' Deutsch connections, the COI is very easy to install.

It includes a USB port to enhance remote servicing and easy upgrades, while a robust 150-amp unit provides ample power for modern household appliances that may be powered through the electrical system.

Quick access and overview

A CZone touchscreen display is used for the central operation of the system, and as safety standards ABYC and CE require each circuit to have both fuse and bypass, this is provided within the COI. Each ATC fuse can be simply removed to isolate a circuit and repositioned elsewhere to create a bypass. There is a circuit label for easy identification of individual fuses, printed to meet the precise requirements of the customer. A transparent plastic cover protects the fuses, though a large clip system allows quick access. Red and green LEDs indicate the status of a circuit at a glance.

Working with a dedicated CZone display or a multifunction display from industry-leading integration partners (B&G, Furuno, Garmin, Lowrance, Simrad), the COI ushers in a new era of simple and intuitive control of increasingly complex systems found in modern applications.

Multiple protection

The Combination Output Interface features multiple layers of protection provided by software, hardware, and mechanical means for absolute reliability. The enclosure is built to IPX5 standards for moisture protection. An additional cable cover is available to hide the cable connectors.

Other features include high-power clarity for manual control pumps, and 'pump operation feedback' from a single channel without the need for additional wiring. Additionally, the COI provides six digital switch inputs (windshield wiper, horn, etc.), eight analog inputs (starting battery, fuel sender, etc.), twelve low-voltage outputs (10 A) (service lights, anchor light, etc.), and four high-voltage outputs (25 A) (drain and water pumps).

A version of the Combination Output Interface without connections is also available for upgrades or servicing.
