The KVM Extender Lindy Cat.6 DVI-D Single Link, USB, Audio, and RS-232 allows users to control a source device such as a PC from a single keyboard, mouse, and monitor up to 140 m using Cat.6 RJ-45 cable. It supports single link resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 and HDMI signals, including Full HD 1080p, 3D, and HDCP 1.4.

Ideal for KVM applications, the Extender consists of a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. The transmitter must be connected to a source such as a PC or KVM Switch, while the console with monitor, keyboard, and mouse must be connected to the receiver.

It is also possible to connect additional USB 2.0 devices such as storage units and hard drives. The extender's built-in EDID function ensures maximum compatibility with the monitor or projector on the receiver or even on the DVI output port on the transmitter, while the 3.5 mm analog audio inputs and outputs allow users to connect speakers, microphones, and line interface.

The RS-232 connections also allow integration into pre-installed control systems. This extender offers a simple Plug-and-Play installation, with no additional drivers required, which is excellent for both professional and novice users.

In addition to point-to-point applications, it can also be used over a giant network, with a rotary switch on both units that can pair the transmitters with the receivers.
