Description

ASA filament is made for open 3D printers that cannot print with ABS filament. ASA filament is harder, stronger, flexible, and UV resistant. It is mainly designed for professional use. Most often, it is used for the production of prototypes that need to withstand higher temperatures. The final products made from ASA filament are very durable and impact-resistant. For good results, you should print at a temperature of 240-260°C. AzureFilm ASA filament prints perfectly on Creality, Geetech, Prusa, and similar printers. For printing with ASA filament, we recommend that the printer be enclosed and the bed heated to 100-120°C. Please note that the printing temperature range may vary slightly depending on the use of other printers.

Printing Recommendations:

  • 240-260°C
  • Heated bed: + Enclosure
  • Printing speed: 50-100 mm/s
  • Build platform: Kapton tape, blue tape.

  • It took a little work to find the right settings, but since then it has been one of the best ASAs I’ve tried. It sticks well to the hot bed, and the glue I use also helps it come off easily when it cools down. I don’t have any layer adhesion issues and relatively little warping (a brim is necessary, though).

  • Very satisfied. I used it without any problems with the default PrusaSlicer settings for ASA on the Mini+.

  • Very nice result and very easy to print. On Prusa MK3S with generic settings for ASA in Prusa slicer, the result was perfect. It produces fewer fumes than some ABS I have tried, but still needs to be used in a well-ventilated area or in an enclosure. Very good price for ASA.

  • I really liked it as a material, it has a slightly matte shade, tested it has lasted as a printed replacement for 2 summers without problems with the temperature inside the car's engine compartment.
