The surgical suture Neosorb Rapid (RPGLA) is a sterile synthetic braided absorbable suture composed of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Its rapid loss of strength is due to its lower molecular weight and is achieved through gamma irradiation. It is available in a variety of diameter and length combinations, tailored to needles of various sizes made from high-quality medical-grade stainless steel. The suture is manufactured according to the specifications of the European Pharmacopoeia.
