From the example of Alexander the Great, today’s and future leaders can learn valuable lessons for the development of their leadership virtues and skills. They can be taught how he evolved under the guidance of his main teacher, Aristotle. They can also learn about his roles, functions, actions, and practices that constituted his effective and successful leadership behavior. Finally, they can draw elements from his leadership style and other characteristics of his leadership behavior, such as sensitivity to people, integrity, and humility.

The book by Leonidas Georgiadis clearly and thoroughly develops all the very useful lessons that modern executives from businesses, public, social, and political organizations need to learn in order to improve their effectiveness in exercising leadership for the common good, according to Aristotle, which means their own, that of their people, and more broadly, that of society.

Having a good understanding of the global and Greek literature on management and leadership, I consider this book to be a significant contribution to it.
