The U-lock, which serves as the main security element for the bike, is the well-known Hiplok DX model among cyclists. Its construction includes a 14 mm thick hardened steel bar, making it difficult to cut, pierce, or force open. Additionally, the lock features an anti-rotation mechanism that effectively prevents the use of a lever to open it.

The Hiplok DX Plus has a double locking mechanism, which opens with uniquely coded keys. It is also possible to register on the manufacturer's website to obtain a copy in case of loss (3 keys included).
