Description

The Centine takes its name from the arches at the entrances of many rustic Italian homes scattered throughout the countryside. Thus, symbolically, Centine is considered the gateway to Banfi wines. The winding cypress-lined road depicted on the label leads to the 12th-century castle of the estate.

Centine Red is the perfect blend of Tuscan tradition with international varieties. The grapes are vinified with a short maceration for 7 days and then aged for a short period in French oak barrels, followed by moderate bottle aging.

On the nose, it expresses a luscious bouquet of ripe berries and cherries, while the palate reveals hints of vanilla and fresh herbs. A rounded wine with soft tannins and elegant acidity, it is a particularly versatile wine that is of gastronomic interest as well as a simple, informal aperitif.
