The roof is movable, slightly sloped, hinged, and covers the food reservoir, protecting it from rain and allowing easy access for the squirrel to the food (nuts, hazelnuts, chestnuts, acorns, conifer seeds, sunflower seeds, dried corn). The interior of the feeder is an empty space with a transparent plastic window to facilitate visibility of the amount of food inside.
