Instructions for use:

• Wash your hands before handling the medication or nebulizer.
• Connect one end of the tube to the air outlet of the compressor or air source;
• Connect the other end of the tube to the bottom of the medication cup;
• Remove the lid from the medication cup;
• Pour the prescribed medication into the medication cup, filling it with 2 - 10 mL;
• Screw the lid back onto the medication cup and attach the mouthpiece.

Medication administration:

• To administer the treatment, sit up straight and relax;
• Turn on the compressor, the flow should be 6 - 8 L/min;
• Ensure that the aerosol is visible from the mouthpiece;
• Hold the mouthpiece between your teeth, seal it with your lips, and breathe slowly in and out through your mouth.

When the SideStream begins to operate intermittently and "puffs," the treatment is complete. It is not necessary to spray every drop of medication, as a small amount will always remain in the medication cup.

The nebulization cup with SideStream technology is highly efficient, as it is designed to draw more air through an Active Venturi system, delivering faster medication administration in a shorter treatment time. The Active Venturi system provides additional airflow beyond that supplied by the compressor, increasing the effectiveness of the treatment and reducing the medication delivery time.

The Active Venturi system of the SideStream enhances aerosol production, ensuring that 77% of the drug delivery volume is below 5 microns; this system is designed with five nozzles instead of one, that produce aerosols, providing additional airflow and speeding up the treatment time. The SideStream cup can deliver 2.5 mL of medication in 7 minutes.
