The Neocaridina davidi Yellow, also known as Yellow Shrimp or Yellow Sakura, is a striking freshwater shrimp that stands out for its bright, lemon-yellow color. It originates from selective breeding of Neocaridina davidi and is especially popular in planted aquariums due to the contrast it creates with the green background.
It is small in size (about 2–3 centimeters), peaceful, and lives in groups, offering not only color but also helping to maintain cleanliness, as it feeds on algae and organic debris. Ideal conditions include a temperature of 20–26°C and a pH of 6.5–7.5.
The Yellow Neocaridina is hardy, easy to care for, and ideal for beginners, making it a wonderful addition to any freshwater aquarium.
