The electric guitar Omen Elite-8 by Schecter, has two additional bass (low) strings, tuned to B and F#, which allow for a "heavier" and "fuller" sound without needing to change the tuning. For this reason, 8-string guitars are preferred by players in the metal genre. Additionally, these extra strings result in an increase in the length and width of the fretboard, making the instrument slightly more challenging to play. Its pickups are passive, which consist only of the coil that "translates" the movement of the strings into an electric signal. This type of pickups is widely used and the most common compared to others.
Finally, the bridge of Schecter Omen Elite-8 is fixed. The bridge, or saddle, is the part where the strings start from the body of the instrument and go towards the tuning keys. The strings simply pass through the metallic frame that resembles a bridge, which is screwed onto the body. Changing strings is simple and quick, and does not require any special attention.
