MiyaCath plus Self-Lubricating Catheter

The MiyaCath plus self-lubricating catheter is designed for easy self-catheterization of the bladder. Its hydrophilic coating minimizes friction and facilitates smooth insertion into the urethra. It comes with a sachet of sterile water for additional lubrication. It features rounded holes to avoid irritation. It is made from 100% silicone, designed to be gentle on the delicate urethral tissue. Its construction includes an ultra-soft outer layer for maximum comfort, a stable middle layer for easier handling, and a flexible inner layer for easier navigation.

The outer surface of the catheter has a hydrophilic coating that facilitates insertion and removal of the catheter with virtually no friction. The insertion sleeve allows for secure handling of the catheter without contact with its surface, minimizing the risk of infection.

Intermittent Catheterization

Intermittent catheterization (Clean Intermittent Catheterization - CIC) is used by female and male patients of any age with problems storing and emptying the bladder. A thin, flexible catheter is guided through the urethra into the bladder, empties the bladder, and the catheter is carefully removed. Intermittent catheterization is a recognized therapy aimed at ensuring urinary continence and maintaining the patient's kidneys in good condition.

Indications for intermittent catheterization:

• Neurogenic bladder
• Multiple sclerosis
• Spinal cord injuries (paraplegia, etc.)
• Myelodysplastic syndromes (bone marrow diseases)
• Peripheral neuropathy from various causes (e.g., diabetes mellitus)
• Atonic bladder
• Patients with urinary drainage problems (e.g., prostate hyperplasia) who cannot undergo surgery
• After procedures requiring CIC (continent neobladders from intestine in bladder cancer, augmentation cystoplasty, etc.)
