    This review is about the mount: Nikon Z

    I believe that for the Z mount, it is the most value-for-money option in this range.

    Positives:
    - Internal zoom, so ideal for those who do video
    - Price. The other options you have are the 14-30 f4, 14-24 f2.8, and the 17-28 f2.8. With the first, you gain a stop since it's f4, and I consider the difference between 14 and 16mm to be small in focal length + it's more expensive. The second is much more expensive but is top-notch. And the third is essentially the G1 version of the Tamron.
    - Good weight. Lighter than the 28-75 and more compact.
    - Sharpness is quite good
    - Distortion is manageable and at relatively better levels than the competition.

    Negatives:
    - The focus ring is very loose. Personal opinion—maybe for someone else it's not a negative.

    My comments are after 1.5 months of use. Both in video and photo. I will return with an update.
