Description

Description

Tank

The water storage tank features an internal stainless steel coating. This results in a long lifespan, as it prevents corrosion and rust formation, ensuring always clean water.

Tank technical specifications

  • Thermal tank made of stainless steel 316 L HiMo.
  • Heat exchanger made of stainless steel 316 L HiMo.
  • Thermal tank insulation (polyurethane 70mm, 35-40kg/m³).
  • External cover of the thermal tank made of non-magnetic stainless steel 304 BA.
  • Safety valve (relief valve).
  • Specially designed electric resistance, anti-corrosive, with safety thermostat.
  • Anti-corrosive (anodic) protection.
  • Hot water outlet.
  • Closed circuit pipe.
  • Cold water inlet (water supply network) with safety valve 10atm

Collector

The collector has a surface area of 1.95m², capable of producing up to 195 liters of hot water. It is selective, the type most commonly used in solar water heaters in recent years. It has lower heat losses compared to a simple collector, thus providing higher efficiency.

Collector Technical Specifications

  1. Frame and back of the collector made of anodized aluminum
  2. Collector surface with blue selective coating made of 0.5mm thick selective aluminum sheets, welded with laser technology.
  3. Hydraulic skeleton entirely made of copper
  4. Fiberglass insulation at the back with a thickness of 50mm and rock wool insulation on the sides with a thickness of 20mm.
  5. Absorption coefficient α ≥ 0.95 ± 0.02
  6. Emission coefficient of selective surface ε ≤ 0.05 ± 0.02

Dual Energy

It is dual-energy, meaning it can operate in two ways: with solar or with electric energy. This means that inside the water tank there is an electric resistance, so on days with little sunshine due to cloudiness, you can operate your solar water heater with electric energy and always have hot water.

Solar Water Heater Maintenance

Regular maintenance of the solar water heater optimizes the quality, hygiene, and operational performance, while also saving on energy consumption. For the smooth operation of the solar water heater, regular maintenance by a specialized team is required. The necessary actions during the maintenance of the solar water heater are:

  • Checking the level of solar fluids & refilling where necessary.
  • Inspecting and repairing the insulation on the local solar pipes.
  • Checking and replacing the magnesium anode to prevent the formation of salts inside the solar water heater.
  • Inspecting and cleaning the electric resistance.

This review is about the operation mode: Triple Energy

    By far the best....
We have had it for twenty-six years, 160 liters triple energy with two collectors.
Only once, six years ago, did I refill the coolant.

I have had it for 15 years, it is the second time I am servicing it because I have simply neglected it. Guys, do maintenance otherwise it is immortal.

The best and highest quality solar water heater by far. We have had it for over 7 years without the slightest problem and plenty of hot water.

I have had it for over 5 years. The spot where it is installed does not get sun after 16:00. Nevertheless, it boils the water. In the summer with sun, it steams. Even with cloudy weather, it provides hot water (depending, of course, on how much radiation gets through). The glass is resistant to weather changes (in contrast, on a HELIOAKMI solar heater that was installed right next to it, the glass had cracked).

DISADVANTAGE is its price, since, according to my excellent plumber, it is overpriced to the extreme, given that there are solar heaters with an indestructible copper boiler at much better prices. In my case, when I bought it, the water was lukewarm even with the summer sun! I called the service, they checked it and replaced the boiler under warranty, although I had to push them a bit to accept the obvious!!! As I later learned, there were many defective boilers in that batch and there was a "discreet reluctance" due to the cost involved in replacing them. After the replacement, though, no problem at all. Of course, you have to do maintenance and change the anode. (In contrast, the HELIOAKMI MEGASUN, although it was newer and received the required maintenance, broke down completely shortly after the boiler warranty expired and of course was thrown away).

----- 2026 and it still works perfectly. Does it get scale? The boiler does not get punctured like the glass ones.

I bought this specific solar panel because the spot where I installed it was limited. I am extremely satisfied with its quality. It is worth every penny until the last euro.
