Historical Information: Agria (Elymus repens) is a perennial plant belonging to the Poaceae family and thrives mainly in temperate regions. It has been known since ancient times for its medicinal properties, particularly in folk medicine, where it was used for its diuretic action and care of the urinary system. The ancient Greeks and Romans recognized agria as a beneficial plant for kidney health and toxin elimination.

Properties:

• Diuretic action, which helps in the elimination of toxins and fluids from the body.
• Anti-inflammatory action, especially in inflammations of the urinary system.
• Contribution to the reduction of symptoms related to prostate problems.
• Assistance in dissolving kidney and gallstones, while enhancing kidney function.

Usage: 1 tablespoon of crushed agria rhizome (or a pinch of uncrushed) is placed in a container where 1 glass of water is added. The contents are boiled for 5 minutes and after some time, the liquid is strained and drunk (2 - 3 doses per day).
