I wouldn't call it a negative, but generally keep in mind that it is a STABLE stand. That is, you place it on the desk, adjust it once, tighten the allen screws on the arms, and that's it. For my use (iPad in sidecar with Mac between two monitors) it's perfect. If you want to move it around, you might need to find a crane-style stand.
