Echeveria 'orion' - Echeveria
- Family: Crassulaceae
- Pot diameter: 13cm.
- Height: 10-12cm.
This is a hybrid of E. lilacina and E. pulidonis. It is a compact succulent, in a rosette form that can be solitary or grouped at the base. It features large, fleshy green-gray leaves with very pronounced reddish margins. This cool-toned succulent is ideal for decorating your gardens and balconies during the summer, as it acquires beautiful purple colors when exposed to bright light and dry, cool conditions.
Care:
- It needs a lot of light throughout the year; however, avoid direct exposure to the sun, especially during the hottest hours of the day.
- It is preferable to keep it in mild temperatures and never below 10°C, so it is recommended to protect it during the winter.
- Water moderately, only when the soil is completely dry. It is sufficient to water once a week in spring and summer, and to stop watering completely in autumn and winter.
- The best soil is a well-draining one, for example, a mix of peat and pumice, so that water does not stagnate.
- Frequent fertilization is not needed; it is enough to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
