Lightweight alloy metal construction. While it seems to fit the X5 well, the frame "cap" closes with difficulty and leaves a small gap from the rest of the frame. The locking plate is also very thin and if I weren't in a hurry for vacation, I would return the case as it doesn't inspire much confidence in terms of durability. Especially with the small gap it leaves, I fear the case may open. As a design, it has a magnetic base on the bottom for Insta360 mounts where the clips grip well, as well as a recess for the standard 1/4 screw. On the left and right (as we look at the screen) there are openings so the battery, charging port covers, and buttons can be accessed easily, respectively. It also has 2 cold shoe mounts, one on the top and one on the upper left (as we look at the screen). It doesn't add much weight to the camera. Also, the silicone lens cover that Insta360 provides with the purchase of the camera cannot be used once you put on this solution. Compared to the genuine metal Insta360 one, this one is quite inferior and even at the price of 30 euros it is not worth it. There is a similar one from Telesin that I haven't tried, but at the same price it comes with a silicone lens cover that is compatible with the case; otherwise, for the same money, you have to buy from third-party manufacturers abroad, since not all SmallRig products are brought to Greece. Personally, I will only use this one with the Insta360 photography grip, and the genuine one is the only safe choice for the extended selfie stick and the free framing stick.
