The story begins when Marisa suddenly disappears from Gensokyo. In her search, Reimu is drawn to a mysterious book.

Inside the book is a strange world, filled with libraries, deserts, and other peculiar locations, and in each of these worlds appears something that resembles Marisa.

Reimu's adventure is disrupted by Remilia, Flanders, Sakuya, and Patchouli, who freely interfere with their comments. Will she manage to find the real Marisa?
