The Air-Liner Light offers all the durability in compressed tires and improves the performance of Air-Liner MTB tires, but with much less weight – it weighs even less than the liquid required for installing the tire. The ultra-lightweight construction also limits torque over the tire's edge and reinforces the sidewall while allowing the tread to "float" in the air. Contact with the surface remains flexible on rough terrain and during pedal strokes, while the tire does not de-tube or fold under lateral loads or during turns.

Of course, it also prevents punctures, gradually reinforcing under compression to eliminate hits on the discs and punctures when exceeding a line or touching a corner. If – or rather – when it finally punctures, the Air-Liner Light expands to fill the gap as a run-flat.
