    The visual they offer is very close to the human eye and is often called "normal". They provide a natural result with minimal distortions and their focal distance is usually 40-55mm in full frame, 25-40mm in crop frame, and 80-100mm in medium format.

    The type of mount that the camera body must have in order for the lens to be fully functional when attached to it.

The camera lens features a versatile design with an AFL button that can be assigned to custom functions, as well as a focus mode switch and aperture ring lock. The aperture ring can be switched from click to clickless for smooth video operation.

The water-repellent and oil-repellent coating on the front element of the lens allows shooting in challenging outdoor conditions, while the dust- and splash-resistant construction protects the internal elements.

Included is a removable tripod mount compatible with Arca-type clamps for increased stability due to the lens’s weight. The tripod mount can be replaced with the provided protective cover.

Sigma combines two aspherical elements and four F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements to ensure clarity from f/1.4 through the rest of the aperture range. A total of 17 elements in 13 groups, along with 13-blade apertures, create beautiful circular bokeh, minimizing vignetting and color bleeding even at the edges.

Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer coating optimizes resistance to backlighting, minimizing potential reflections and ghosting effects.

The lens elements have been optimized to reduce focus breathing, making it a strong choice for professional video use. It is powered by Sigma’s dual HLA (High-Response Linear Actuator) focus system for fast and silent autofocus across the telephoto focus range, enabling reliable capture of fast-moving subjects.
